Fighting Area:
Size: 6x6m to 8x8m square
2m safety zone around the area (no spectators)
Ref table must have screens, scorecards, stopwatch, and bell
Medics must be nearby and have space
Rounds & Durations:
General Rounds (Eliminations):
1x1 min or 1x1.5 min round
Finals:
National: 1x1.5 min
International: 2x1 min with 30 seconds rest
Draws:
Extra Time: 30s–1 min
Still Drawn? Sudden death – first to score wins

Equipment Rules:
Headguard
Juniors Mandatory
Adults Optional (but recomended)
Gumshield
Open hand gloves (with covered fingers & thumb)
Safety foot pads
Groin protector (under clothing)
Shin guards (under clothing)
Recommended:
Female: Breast protector
Optional: Elbow/knee pads, hand wraps (no fist taping)
Referee & Scoring Procedures:
1 Ref + 2 Judges
Judges move during bout
Ref starts/stops fights, gives points & warnings
Coaches must stay seated (may signal "T" for time)
Ref can stop fight for warnings, penalties, or safety checks
3 warnings for leaving the area = point deduction
4 times = disqualification
Only referee, doctor, or president can stop the fight
10-point lead ends fight by TKO
Scoring Techniques for all styles:

Punch to body/head = 1 Point

Sweep + strike (in 2 sec) = 2 Points

Body kick = 2 Points

Jump body kick = 3 Points

Head kick = 3 Points

Jump head kick = 5 Points
Scoring Requires:
2 of 3 referees to agree for point to be scored
Main Ref may overrule if line-of-sight issue confirmed
Illegal Techniques:
Low kicks (thighs/knees), Strikes to groin, back, or top of head
Spinning backfist, elbows, throws, Pushing, scratching, biting, verbal abuse, Actions after "stop" Falling intentionally or leaving area to waste time
Allowed Techniques:
Hand: Back fist striek, Reverse punch, Ridge hand, Blitz style combos
Foot: Side, front, roundhouse, hook, axe, crescent kicks, Spinning kicks and sweeps
Banned Techniques:
Spinning backfist, Knife hand, Throws, Low kicks, Elbow, knee, headbutts
Coaching Conduct:
Only one coach per fighter, Must remain seated
No entering fighting area – may result in disqualification
Officials Must Ensure:
All rules followed on their mat
Neutral referees (not from fighter’s club unless unavoidable)
No more than one official from a fighter's club per bout
Prohibited:
Jewellery, zips, buttons, pockets, glasses, metal objects
👁️ Visual Aids Policy
Soft contact lenses are permitted, but must be worn at the competitor’s own risk.
Sport-specific protective goggles may be allowed where necessary, also at the competitor’s own risk.
⚠️ Please note:
While goggles may offer some protection, they also increase the risk of orbital fractures upon impact. For this reason, their use is not recommended during competition.
The safety of our athletes is our top priority. Please consider these risks when deciding whether to use visual aids in competition.
Hydration Rules:

Dehydrating to cut weight = Disqualification

After weigh-in: rehydrate with water or isotonic drinks

On fight day: only water allowed

No fizzy drinks or alcohol at ringside
Pre-Workout drinks/powders are not allowed to be consumed before a bout is to be contested
